  • Dr. Philip Lin

    Medical Director
    Dr. Lin joined the Sonoma Humane Society Veterinary Hospital in 2012 and became the Medical Director in 2014.  Prior to joinging SHS, Dr. Lin was an associate veterinarian at Ross Valley Veterinary Hospital.  He received a joint DVM/MBA degree from Colorado State University  and completed a small animal internship at PetCare Veterinary Hospital.  Dr. Lin grew up in Chicago and graduated from Columbia University with a B.A. in Economics.  He then spent 10 years in New York City working in various jobs such as IT and computer programming before turning to veterinary medicine.
    Dr. Lin's hobbies include hiking, snowboarding, and home projects.  HE lives in Petaluma with his wife Jocelyn, two young daughters Penelope & Elise, and a collection of rescue cats (Doots & Clementine) and dogs (Dragon & Hazey).

  • Dr. Amy Saucke

    Associate Veterinarian

    Dr. Amy Saucke joined the Sonoma Humane Society Veterinary Hospital team in July 2015. After receiving her veterinary degree from University of Montreal, in Canada, she moved to Sonoma County where she completed an internship at PetCare Veterinary Hospital. Dr. Saucke has a passion for charity work, and for travel. In the fall of 2005, she traveled to New Orleans to assist in animal rescue immediately after Hurricane Katrina. Since then she has participated in projects with Habitat for Humanity, as well as animal welfare and spay/neuter projects in northern Canada, Cuba, Peru, and Grenada. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, camping, kayaking and traveling with her partner Alex and their adorable rescue lab mix puppy, Olive.

  • Sharon Kennedy, RVT

    Practice Manager

    Sharon just recently joined the Sonoma Humane Society in March.  She graduated with an A.S. in Veterinary Sciences and worked at several veterinary hospitals in New York and North Carolina. She then obtained an A.S. in Radiologic Technology and spent some time in the human medical field as an X-Ray technologist while working on her B.S. in Medical Management before returning to the world of veterinary medicine.
    When not at Sonoma Humane Society, Sharon stays busy chasing her two little boys Caysen & Carson and their newly adopted (from SHS of course!) kitten Blixa.

    Cheri began at the Sonoma Humane Society in 2011 as a volunteer. In 2012 she accepted a position as a veterinary assistant. Cheri splits her time working 3 days a week in the spay/neuter clinic and 2 days a week with the veterinary hospital. Born and raised in Chico, Cheri moved to Los Angeles for 10 years where worked for a Plastic Surgeon in Beverly Hills. Known as "The Mother Teresa of cats" by her husband, she was fast convinced to pursue what she loved most, animals and medicine. She is currently attending the Veterinary Technician program through Penn Foster college with the goal of becoming a Registered Veterinary Technician. Cheri lives with "the best husband and two amazing sons" along with a menagerie of feline friends who fill up most of her time away from work.  Her pack includes a 17 year old Siamese mix, Finnegan, two 3 year old cats, Bear and Owen as well as Charlie, a 7 year old who has adopted her home along with 4 neighborhood cats who like to call their yard "home". Some of her hobbies include cooking, gardening and quilting.
